I love Cash App. The ability to transfer money between it and your bank are so fast that I don’t even keep my regular bank card on me anymore. I transfer what I need to my Cash App card when I need it and it happens in seconds. If I have anything left over, I just cash it out or lock the card. Sending and receiving money is also very fast + over the years they’ve added features like buying and sending bitcoin and stocks. I also love the weekly boosts they have to select from. If I’m going to shop at these places any, I might as well get cash back. They call it cash back but in reality, it automatically subtracts the boost percentage from the transaction. You don’t get “cash back”, you simply paid less from the beginning!

This is the platform I used to learn about crypto. Coinbase allows you to buy and trade hundreds of coins and tokens and even periodically pays you to learn about some new coins and projects through their Learn and Earn section. I started on Coinbase in January and already got $54 in free coins that were being promoted there. I converted most of them to bitcoin but some I kept thanks to Coinbase providing research and recommendations and I’ve seen returns on them. They even offer Interest on some coins just by holding them on the app or in your Coinbase wallet that completely dwarf even my high yield saving account. Why get 0.5% APR from my savings account when I can get 2.4% with USDc? Same dollar value but gaining ~5 times the amount of interest! They also have a wallet app now so you can convert coins for free - a huge plus as their fees before with swapping coins was the only qualm I had. I’m also currently using their Coinbase debit card to earn cash back in crypto on all of my purchases. You can either put cash on it or USD coin and purchase with no additional fees! Then just watch the bitcoin, ethereum or what ever option you chose rack up!

My friend I referred got a stock valued at around $100 for her first one though. I’m still irked by that, but just letting you guys know there is a chance to get more when starting. No fees on trades + the addition of adding crypto is a huge plus for anyone wanting to keep both in one app. **I’ve personally been using Robinhood as a training tool while learning about stocks and can say it’s very learner friendly! It also has more intermediate features for buying and selling puts and covered calls which I do NOT do yet lol. Working on building up a smaller account and the advice and “learn” section on the app have really helped with that. It even has recommendations for the stocks you select and tells if (according to market analysts) you should buy,, sell if you have it, or hold your position based on the market and the price. For some, that’s enough! It’s very good at reducing the technical information down to what an average person would need to know when investing, verses say a professional day trader.
